As you know from my last post, I am creating permanent homes for my social media series here on the blog so y'all can find the inspirational pieces all in one place! This is my second of three series I am posting in order to play catch up, and then we will be able to return to new blog posts. So here goes!
This series is all about BODY LOVE. The purpose of this series is to help provide body love inspiration. My hope is for y'all to really let these messages sink in to begin creating more positivity towards ourselves and others.
PART 1: ALL BODIES ARE GOOD BODIES
You are not any better or worse of a person because of what you did or didn't eat yesterday.
PART 2: BODIES ARE HOMES TO LIVE IN
Our bodies house our spirit, mind & bones; they keep us steady & strong.You wouldn't move into a dilapidated house without any plans to fix it up, would you? No, because it wouldn't be safe! This is the same logic we need to be applying to our bodies.
PART 3: YOU ARE NOT MORE VALUABLE IF...
This is NOT an inverse correlation. You are worthy because you are human; you are worthy because you are you. Your body shape and size don't have anything to do with it.
PART 4: DON'T LET YOUR MIND BULLY YOUR BODY
Recognize your negative self talk for what it is: an evolutionary response to society's ideals. Thank your brain for trying its best to have your back, then move on from that thought recognizing that it is not fact.
PART 5: HUNGER CUES ARE LITTLE REMINDERS...
Hunger affects not only your physical strength and ability, but also your mental agility, cognition, memory and so much more. I'm willing to bet you've invested a lot in yourself to get where you are today, so keep investing in yourself every chance you get; fuel your body when it asks for it.
PART 6: THE WEIGHT YOU NEED TO LOSE ISN'T ON YOUR BODY
It's not your body weight that is weighing you down; it's the big emotions, painful memories and negative self talk in your head that you are still carrying around all these days, weeks & years later. THATS the weight you need to lose. Put it down. Talk it out, process it & move forward.
PART 7: BODIES ARE CREATED FOR SUPPORT...
Recognize your body's attempts to support you. Accept that support, and be kind back to them! Nourish your body and let it nourish you back.
PART 8: THIS IS A FIGHT YOU CAN WIN
Body Love is not an easy road, but it is a fight to be won through commitment and repetition. You've got this!
